"In early 2010, Jim Goldberg, the founder of Deep River Snacks, learned that his middle son, Meyer, was afflicted with both Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and Crohn’s disease. Both affect the liver and neither one has a cure. Eventually, he may need a liver transplant. Chris’s story showed Meyer that he can still live an extraordinary life like his new hero, Chris. Together with the Chris Klug Foundation, we hope to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation and donor education."
